Sarah Asome

Sarah has been involved with the MSL Club since its inception in 2016, and is the Educational Consultant as well as a member of the board.
Sarah is a highly experienced teacher and leads the learning support at Bentleigh West Primary School, Vic. She has a phenomenal passion for those who learn differently.
In 2015 she was awarded ‘Outstanding Primary Teacher’ for Victoria. She is trained in the Multisensory Structured Language (MSL) approach and is an Associate Member of the Australian Dyslexia Association (AMADA).  She has completed multiple courses and this includes, the UTAS dyslexia unit, Dyslexia Action (UK), Ron Yoshimito OG, LETRS training and certification in the USA- Certified Structured Literacy Teacher from the Certificate Centre for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI).
Last year, Sarah was guest speaker on the TV show ‘Insight- The Teacher Who Changed My Life’. She also appeared in ‘Outside The Square‘ a DVD used for professional development in relation to dyslexia and explicit literacy and language instruction.  
In her current role Sarah is involved in screening students, teaching tier 2 and 3 students and coaching and mentoring colleagues from across Australia.
Sarah also provides substantial support to dyslexia support groups and professional development for teachers.
